Supporting Dental Education in Sri Lanka

At SAREMCO Dental AG, we are proud to support initiatives where dentistry creates real value for people. Contributing to dental education and helping ensure reliable patient care through high-quality materials are responsibilities we take seriously.

In September 2025, we had the privilege of supporting a dental internship at Sakuki Dental Hospital in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka. Three dental students from Hannover Medical School joined the local team and became part of the daily clinical routine, contributing directly to patient care.

Dentistry That Reaches People

Sakuki Dental Hospital treats many patients from the surrounding region every day. For many of them, regular dental care is not easily accessible, leading to a high demand for basic and restorative treatments. At the same time, fewer materials and technical resources are available than in European dental practices.

We are grateful that our conditioners, adhesives, and composite materials helped make safe, reliable, and professional dental treatments possible. Knowing that our materials were used chairside and made a tangible difference for patients is something we are truly proud of.

Working Together, Learning From Each Other

A key part of this project was the close collaboration between the students and the local dental team. Our materials were not only applied in treatment but also explained and discussed, ensuring they can continue to be used after the internship ended.

This open exchange, built on trust and mutual respect, showed how much can be achieved when people in dentistry work together across cultures and borders.
