With the els extra low shrinkage® restorative system, SAREMCO has managed to avoid the potentially allergenic ingredients TEGDMA and HEMA without compromising on quality or aesthetics. TEGDMA and HEMA are commonly found in commercially available restorative materials, but have been the subject of fierce debate in scientific literature due to their toxicology and allergology. els extra low shrinkage® provides prophylactic protection for not only patients, but also for users who are exposed to TEGDMA and HEMA on a daily basis due to their profession. The composites are characterized by extremely low shrinkage, high marginal integrity, easy handling, good packability and stability. The system-compatible adhesives and bonding agents do not contain TEGDMA or HEMA. Numerous published long-term studies support the clinical safety, durability and esthetics of the materials.

With the apt® advanced polymer technology restorative system, SAREMCO takes another step forward in terms of biocompatibility. The apt® advanced polymer technology composite is characterized by a very low level of degradation by enzymes in saliva. It is up to ten times lower than that of conventional restorative resins. SAREMCO thus offers another high-quality restorative system with added value for dentists and patients.

In the field of 3D printing materials, the company set new standards early on with saremco print CROWNTEC. The CE-certified and FDA-approved material is approved for 3D printing permanent crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers and dentures on a wide range of printers. Thousands of laboratories around the world have been won over by the product and 3D printing, and are now eliminating the traditional, time-consuming method of making dentures.

Since its foundation in 1987, SAREMCO has established itself as a pioneer in the field of light-curing resins. The chemist Adalbert Schmid laid the foundation for the company with a clear vision: to develop functional and highly compatible dental materials for the benefit of users and patients. With the els extra low shrinkage® line, he created a completely new restorative system that consistently avoids the use of the criticized substances TEGDMA and HEMA, from the adhesive to the composite. In addition, the els extra low shrinkage® composite had an unprecedented shrinkage stress during setting.

In 2016, the long-standing CEO, Franca Schmid, took over as owner of SAREMCO Dental AG and led the company into a new era. She strengthened the company's position in the field of highly biocompatible materials for restorative therapy and 3D printing, and established close collaborations with renowned universities worldwide. Under her leadership, significant progress was made in product development, including the apt® advanced polymer technology line with enhanced biocompatibility properties and, in 2017, the first CE-certified resin for the production of permanent crowns using the 3D printing process.

On 1 July 2024, Franca Schmid handed over the management of the company to a younger generation. Today, Sven Hauser, a long-time employee and sales manager, is CEO of the company. With his in-depth knowledge of the industry and the company, he is continuing the company's strategy with a clear focus on customer-oriented innovation and the continuation of long-term partnerships. As Owner and President of the Board of Directors, Franca Schmid focuses on the strategic development of the company and contributes her extensive expertise.
